International Relations Department

The Department was established in 2019 and is a structural division of the Kazan City Duma`s apparatus. The main areas of activity include:

• Organizational support for the activities of the Kazan City Duma, the Mayor of Kazan, and the bodies of the Kazan City Duma in the field of the international and intermunicipal cooperation;

• Development of existing and establishment of new international and intermunicipal partnerships for Kazan;

• Preparation and organization of events within the framework of Kazan`s interaction with international and Russian organizations for intermunicipal cooperation, as well as with foreign and Russian municipalities;

• Preparation of draft agreements, contracts, and other documents for cooperation between Kazan and foreign and Russian municipalities, as well as organizing events for their signing;

• Participation in the development and implementation of programs, agreements, contracts, and other documents related to international and intermunicipal cooperation;

• Organization of interaction between Kazan and international and intermunicipal organizations, participation in international and intermunicipal projects, competitions, programs, etc.
